Terms and Conditions for Hair & Makeup Clients
Maike Kolmer
The client agrees to read the terms and conditions carefully and to acknowledge them in full. The terms and conditions apply unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
1. Scope of Application
The terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Maike Kolmer’s sole proprietorship.
The contractual partner is the person who has agreed on a binding appointment or booking with Maike Kolmer.
2. Order Confirmation
An order or booking is considered binding once the client has confirmed the offer and terms and conditions via Google Docs.
3. Cancellation Terms/Compensation for Cancellations in Wedding Bookings
If the client cancels or withdraws, the following fees must be paid from the total invoice amount to Maike Kolmer:
3.1. Cancellation by the Client without Services Rendered
- More than 3 months before the booked date: 30% of the total must be paid.
- 1 month before the date: 50% of the total must be paid.
- 7 days before the date: 80% of the total must be paid.
- 48 hours before the date: 100% must be paid.
This also applies in cases of force majeure.
If the client postpones the date to another day, even due to force majeure (including pandemics), the client must consult with Maike Kolmer to determine when she is available.
If Maike Kolmer is available on the new date, no additional costs will be incurred. If Maike Kolmer is unavailable on the new date, the client will receive a voucher for the amount already paid.
3.2. Trial Appointment
Services rendered and hours worked during the trial appointment must be paid in full.
4. Payment Terms
For wedding packages, 50% of the package price is due at the trial appointment. The remaining balance and any additional services are to be paid after the wedding via invoice. All other services are to be paid directly after the appointment, either in the studio or at the client’s location. The client may pay in cash, by debit card/credit card, or via bank transfer.
5. Prices
Prices are according to the offer or as otherwise agreed. Invoices are issued without VAT, as Maike Kolmer is a sole proprietorship.
Travel Costs
Unless otherwise agreed, travel will be charged at the standard rate of €0.80/km for both the outward and return journey.
If domestic travel requires arrival the day before or if travel to and from the location exceeds 2 hours per day, travel days will be charged based on the time spent, unless otherwise agreed. The hourly rate applies in this case.
6. Work Location
The location must be communicated before the offer is created.
Time Planning & Preparation at the Work Location
Maike Kolmer must have the agreed-upon time fully available to complete the service on time.
Changes to the previously agreed start or end styling times will incur a €30 charge.
The work location should be prepared before arrival.
For “on-site locations,” a large table, 1 chair, 1 power outlet, and good lighting conditions are required.
7. Client Preparation
For optimal preparation and to ensure the agreed-upon working time, clients should send a picture and their desired hairstyle and makeup ideas up to 2 days before the trial appointment. Shortly before the appointment, the client will receive a questionnaire reminding them of these details.
Makeup Clients
The client should already be completely makeup-free.
Unwanted hair (eyebrows, upper lip) and skin flakes should be removed beforehand.
Hair Styling Clients
Hair should be washed with shampoo twice, either the night before or the morning of the appointment. Please dry completely, and do not style with a straightener/curling iron, etc.
Do not use any additional products.
8. Cancellation by Maike Kolmer
Maike Kolmer reserves the right to charge the amount stated in the order confirmation in case of reduced services.
Furthermore, cancellations of the appointment by Maike Kolmer can occur at any time for serious reasons. Maike Kolmer will make an effort to provide an equal replacement. If no replacement can be found, the client may choose to request a refund, minus the services already rendered, or to agree on an alternative appointment with Maike Kolmer.
Maike Kolmer is not liable for any additional costs or potential damages that may arise in this case.
9. Liability of Maike Kolmer’s Sole Proprietorship
Maike Kolmer is only liable for intentional and grossly negligent behavior, including liability for defects.
The client agrees to immediately bring up any complaints on-site. No claims can be made after the service has been completed.
All brushes and makeup products are hygienically cleaned. Professional products are used, and to date, no issues have arisen.
Maike Kolmer does not assume liability for intolerances or allergic reactions. The client is responsible for informing Maike Kolmer of any known intolerances to specific ingredients either in writing or verbally before booking.
Any warranty claims against Maike Kolmer are excluded.
10. Right to Amend Terms and Conditions
Maike Kolmer reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions and published prices.
11. Disclaimer
Any liability for personal injury or property damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
