Autumn. It’s the favorite time of the year for basic b*tches like me. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, red-orange lipstick, black <\/em>leggings and kale. Today we are discussing how you can update your makeup (and skincare) bag from summer to fall.<\/i><\/p>\n

Skincare Update<\/h2>\n

It’s fall and that means the start of dry air. A lot of times this means that your skin is now getting drier and more irritated. If you have oily skin, you probably won’t notice too much of a difference, but you can still take note of some tips.<\/p>\n

Cleanser:<\/h3>\n

I love my Balea Med Ultra Sensitiv Waschgel<\/a>, but in autumn I tend to use cream cleansers, to make sure I am not stripping my skin of its natural oils. I like using the Bog Myrtle and Lime Balancing Cleanser<\/a> from West Barn Co. with a bamboo cloth. This cleanser is a toner at the same time.<\/p>\n

Serum:<\/h3>\n

If you don’t have a serum in your skincare regime, now might be a good time to start! Serums are liquids full of skincare benefits and usually contain a high concentration of active ingredients. For dry skin in autumn and winter (but also generally for dry skin) I can recommend hyaluronic acid. My favorites are the Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid Booster<\/a> and the The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Serum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Serums are always applied before skincare. That way they can be absorbed by the skin the best.<\/p>\n

Moisturizer:<\/h3>\n

In the summer I prefer using a light moisturizer, followed by sunscreen of course! In the winter, skin can usually need something a little richer. Look for moisturizers with fatty acids and ceramides. My favorites for the winter are:<\/p>\n
